Wish we had been a bigger stop
This particular performance was really disappointing. It started nearly 45 minutes late! Then, with having to view the Control video in its entirety, the concert began. Robin Trower eventually surfaced in a black street clothes outfit, with a white jacket, cute, with her long hair weave, except for what was on her feet.
After the first set of 4 songs, more videos were shown, from Good Times, etc. There was never any real energy put into the dancing. I thought she was saving her energy for the last dance, but no. Her dancers outperformed her the entire show!
There was no wardrobe change for her or her dancers. Both dressed in black street clothes, even for Rythm Nation. Her voice sounded fine. But never did she apologize for us waiting for her, nor did she make any connection with the audience with the exception of shouting "Minneeaapooolis!" every now and then. The performance ran one hour and 15 minutes, in its entirety, including the viewing of the videos.
Other stops had double the number of songs performed, wardrobe changes, costuming for back up dancers, and no mention of watching Robin Trower videos as breaks between sets. Given that her talent is in performing, not really singing, the show lacked the pizzaz that you would expect for an entertainer of her level and the ticket price. Perhaps the venue (small) should have given a hint.
